Want to know whether a file was created with Samsa? detect.samsa.ai is Samsa's free, public verification service. Anyone can use it — you, your teammates, agencies, journalists, or anyone who comes across your content. No account needed.
Drag and drop a file onto the page (or click Choose a file). Images and videos up to 50 MB are supported: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, MP4, MOV, and WebM.
The service runs two independent checks:
Content Credential (C2PA) — the authoritative check. It reads the file's embedded credential and verifies that the digital signature is valid and was issued by Samsa.
Invisible watermark — a supporting signal, shown where available. Because the watermark lives in the pixels, it can identify Samsa content even when the metadata — and with it the credential — has been stripped.
You get a clear verdict — for example "Signed by Samsa", "No Samsa provenance found", or "Content Credential present but invalid" if a file was altered after signing. For files with a valid credential, a details panel shows what's recorded inside: the source type (AI generated vs. AI modified), the model used, when it was signed, the recorded editing actions, and whether a visible AI label was applied.
Each check is explained in plain language, so you can see exactly what the verdict is based on.
After a check you can download a digitally signed PDF report of the result — useful if you need to document a verification, for example for an audit or a rights question. The report stays available for 24 hours after the check.
Files you upload are verified in memory and immediately discarded. detect.samsa.ai does not keep a copy of your content.
Confirm your own downloads — a quick way to see the transparency layers on your published assets in action.
Answer questions from partners or the public — anyone can independently verify that a file's credential is genuine.
Check unknown files — if you're unsure whether an asset circulating externally came from your Samsa workspace, the check tells you whether it carries Samsa provenance.
Since Content Credentials are based on the open C2PA standard, the information in them isn't locked to Samsa's tools — but detect.samsa.ai is the one place that checks all of Samsa's marking layers together.
